Interpersonal Communication
Most youth are developing their social skills online which is why they prefer meeting people over a virtual world instead of speaking face-to-face. Interpersonal communication skills are no longer learned or stressed at a young age therefore it is imperative we teach kids that real life takes place offline.
Conflict Resolution
Learning to deal with conflicts in a healthy way is crucial. When conflict is mismanaged, it can harm a relationship. But when handled in a respectful and positive way, conflict provides an opportunity for growth.
Public Speaking
This is a skill that does not receive enough attention. Many people graduate from college without getting any real training. Good public speaking skills can enhance a reputation, boost self-confidence and create opportunities.
Non-Verbal
Your body language shapes who you are. Body language not only affects how others see us but it can also change how we see ourselves.
JLS Empowerment will help with all four areas of communication through interactive exercises and peer education. Good communication seems to be a lost art in today’s society and we are determined to slow down the rate at which personal interaction is fading away.
